I love animals. I realized how ridiculously much I love animals when Joel and I drove past a shop called "Puppies and Kittens" tonight, and I asked twice if we could please stop in. Joel's good for me, because he knows that I probaly couldn't walk away from that store empty-handed. : ) Our house is kind of turning into a zoo (of course, when we're rich, it will literally be a zoo). We have two cats--one was a stray left for us--two decent-sized fish tanks, and two gerbils. I love all of my pets. I could spend days just interacting with and/or watching each individual animal we have. I don't know if it's the cuddliness and affection that cats give, the adorable scuttling and sleeping of the gerbils, or the interesting behaviors and swim patterns of the fish--every animal has something that just mesmerizes me. I someday hope to work with animals... maybe a trainer, or a shelter owner, or a pet shop owner, or an animal therapy program coordinator... I don't know. I just love so many animals for so many different reasons--beauty, strength, intricacy, snuggliness, etc.
