omg shoes

This morning, I asked the kids what they wanted to do. After going through a few options, we got onto the topic of appropriate footwear for some of our options, because it was raining today. Burke and Maggie realized that they didn't have any rain boots, so they asked if we could go to the store to get some. After clearing it with Mommy, we headed out. Burke and Logan both chose green froggy boots from Target, but they didn't have any girl ones in Maggie's size. Payless had only Buzz Lightyear ones (UNACCEPTABLE), and DSW didn't even have a children's section. We had to go back to their house for lunch and stuff, but we continued our trek for rain boots after lunch. We found ourselves at Walmart, where the pickings were also slim, but we found some that fit the bill. "Maggie, there are these purple ones with pink on the bottom. Or there are these Iron Man superhero ones. Do you want the Iron Man ones?" "No." "Well, these purple and pink ones seem like something you'd like better. Am I right?" "Yes!" In contrast, I'm sure they seemed much better. ...Aaaaand I got some rain boots, too! I've never owned any, so this was a fun first pair. All in all, I'd say we had a fun day. All we did was get some rain boots, but it took like ALL day. Yes, I like my job. : )

Those are bees you see buzzing around on the boots.
Joel says they're ridiculous, and I know he's right, but I like them anyhow.
